Jamal Musiala has become Bayern Munich’s highest-paid player and has a release clause in his contract.
Jamal Musiala has signed a new contract until 2030, making him the club’s highest-paid player on €25m a year and a €20m signing-on bonus.

The most important point of the deal is that it includes a release clause, which states that Musiala can leave the club for €175m in the summer of 2029, dropping to €100m in the final year of his contract.
The extension of Musiala’s contract was always going to be crucial for Bayern. He is and will be, their most important player not only this season but in the future as well. One would expect that Bayern will look to build the team around Musiala to make sure that the release clause that was included in this new contract will never need to be activated.
This season, Musiala has 15 goals and five assists in 30 games in all competitions. This campaign has also shown how important the 21-year-old is to Bayern as he has singlehandedly won them games at points.
